This contemporary Architect’s Residence at The Brannan in South Beach, San Francisco is timeless, elegant and tasteful.
Architect’s Residence 16D
Residence 16D is the personal residence of Jacqueline Stavi, the principal architect behind The Brannan. A decade of plan, design and construction resulting in the three towers of The Brannan culminated when Ms. Stavi selected Residence 16D as her personal pied a terra. Situated in the premier northeast corner of Tower I offering unobstructed views of the Bay Bridge, East Bay and Downtown Skyline, this highly sought-after floor plan boasts one of the largest usable square feet of living space of the two-bedroom homes at The Brannan, including two Baths; Chef’s Kitchen, Living Room, Formal Dining Area, abundant closets and a northern Balcony.
Passing through the doorway and into the foyer of Residence 16D, suggestions of the spectacular views that lie ahead begin to surface. Once in the Living Room, the expansive glass walls facing north and east offer unrivalled views of the Bay Bridge and Downtown. Attractive hardwood floors of a custom ashen color coolly reflect the abundant natural light. Warm days are common in South Beach, so a northern-facing Balconette offering fresh air is a welcome extension to the Living Area.
Adjacent to the Living Room is a large Dining Area with corner windows offering timeless views of both Downtown and the Bay Bridge. The Chef’s Kitchen includes gourmet appliances accented by dark countertops of Italian granite, imported custom European-style maple cabinetry, and a voluminous walk-in pantry.
The generous Master Suite represents one of the largest bedroom plans available at The Brannan. A northern wall of windows offers unobstructed views of Downtown, accented by a corner window perfect for Bay Bridge gazing late at night, when thousands of city lights frame the horizon in all directions.
Walking through the Dressing Area reveals a long row of closets opposite an expansive walk-in wardrobe. Beyond, the spacious Master Bath is elegantly designed to be functional and stylish, as evidenced by luxurious Carrera marble, pristine white Corian and custom ceramics. An oversized-mirror meets steel fixtures designed by Phillipe Starck. To the left, a linen closet effortlessly hides an stackable washer-dryer combination.
At the opposite side of this balanced floor plan, a stylish Guest Room with corner windows that perfectly frames an ubobstructed Bay Bridge view awaits the most discriminating visitor. A Guest Bath of similarly luxurious features compliments this area.
The interior environment is controlled by a central air conditioning & heating system. This Brannan home is completely wired for state-of-the-art telecommunications and cable systems.
The Neighborhood of South Beach
For ten years South Beach has been the center of the renaissance of San Francisco. The Bay Area’s most exciting neighborhood brings together the ingredients of active city living: warm weather, spectacular views and eclectic mix of restaurants and shops. South Beach is just minutes from southbound I-280 to Silicon Valley and the Bay Bridge, however many residents walk to work downtown. South Beach is a short hop from the Ferry Building, SFMOMA, Yerba Buena Gardens and AT&T Park. A true urban neighborhood, South Beach is a relaxed district offering the best of San Francisco’s culture, entertainment and recreation.
The Brannan
Nestled at the water’s edge of vibrant South Beach at one of its most desirable intersections, The Brannan stands at the heart of a vibrant neighborhood. The Brannan’s launch in 1999 set a new standard in the transformation of both South Beach and San Francisco. Designed by the renown, boutique archietctural firm of Stavi Architects, The Brannan’s inspiring character, carefully chosen amenities, spacious homes and remarkable views have established it as one of the premier residences in the entire Bay Area.
The three towers of The Brannan are a beautiful combination of turquoise glass and European limestone. Driving or walking through the round Porte-Cochère suggests arrival at a most unusual luxury residence.
Once inside the spacious, inviting lobby with soaring ceilings, designer interiors of dark wood, limestone, and customized fixtures compliment the world-class contemporary architecture. A professional Concierge greets and anticipates the needs of residents.
With an average of only eight homes on each floor, The Brannan provides uncommon privacy and comfort. Spacious, high-speed elevators are elegantly appointed. Wide hallways feature attractive setback entrances, oversized, dark-wood entry doors, and distinctive baseboards crafted in stainless steel.
